Hi John,

I tried your fantastic job ad on 'pure' WYSIWYG' pages all ok.
In mixed 'WYSIWYG' and 'code' sections on the same page, the code (PHP) is being edited as HTML
If you have 2 section and you wan to to edit the code, TinyMCE 'attach' itself to the <textarea>' and act as the section would be WYSIWYG.. (see attached image)
Is there any reason why it does it?

Solutions:
keep the code editing as before...
or
a plugin for php-coding ??

As far as I know no WYSIWYG editor let you input php code or javascript, only html. FCK won't execute php commands either so a special module is required (like code area).

TinyMCE 3.1 RC2 for WB Version 2.7

Development Requests

In next version I have ported the following plug-ins per request sent to me

wbcodephp:
This plug-in now protects <? your PHP code ?> inserts within the WebsiteBaker TinyMCE Editor using (Manage Sections>Add Section>Code) on your pages stopping  tag inserts from being stripped.

W3 Validatorr:
To check the markup validity  of Web documents in HTML, XHTML, SMIL, MathML, etc.  (Although I might drop this as if you are a user of Firefox you can add this as a plug-in to your browser) I need some more input from the WB community on this one.

wbformr:
adds form functions to tinymce. but this is another plugin on the chopping block as WB has a form creator build in it..  I also need some more input from the WB community on this one.

modules being pulled will be wbform,W3 Validator.

Hello John,

not pretty sure if already implemented but some wishes below in order of importance (from my point of view):

1. file permissions (viewing, renaming and uploading) fully controlled via user/group settings of websitebaker
2. having a folder for all custom TinyMCE files (like FCK wb_config folder) to allow customizing TinyMCE
3. support of home folders as implemented in the FCKEditor
4. support of editor.css file (if a template includes a editor.css file, styles defined in it like h1 p will show up in FCK editor area)
5. one module including TinyMCE, WB links, Browser Plugin. All other features as external plugins (W3 Validator, wbform etc.)

Hello,

did some tests with the RC3 release. Some comments below.

File permissions:
The current module only checks if a user is loged into the backend. Once a user is loged in, he can upload, rename, delete and view files in the media folder even if the group he is assigned to does not permit access to the media folder at all. Hence the WebsiteBaker user/group permissions gets overruled. This should be fixed. In addition, no support of the WebsiteBaker home folders is implemented at the moment.

Customization:
A general file for custom settings should be used as applied in FCKEditor. In addition support of template editor.css files would be a nice feature, so the content area uses the styles as shown in the frontend while typing (real WYSIWYG).

Copyright:
Not too sure about the copyright terms at all. TinyMCE is licensed under LGPL, which is fine. The Ajax file manager is currently released under GPL and MPL license with the following statement:

Quote from: phpletter.com
Our Ajax File Manager  is distributed under the GPL  and   MPL open source licenses, so you could use it or integrate it into your system at no cost. We may  revise the license by updating this page at any time. By using our file manager, you agree to be bound by any such revisions and should therefore periodically visit our site to determine the current terms/License to which you are bound.

Seems to me the guys want to change the license once the product file manager has reached a stable 1.0 version, which is currently not the case. Apart from that, almost all plugin and TinyMCE dialogues were changed, even if the changes are very minor (e.g. release number etc.).

Yes, but havn´t had any problems with it. The former release had some letters above every instance loaded, but they were gone now. No hard testing done so in fact I shouldn´t comment your release at all grin. But you deserve some because of the ammont of energy you put into the project. I hope someone can help test this a "pro" way.

Hoi John
unfortunately I can't get it installed. (WB 2.7 RC2 on both Firefox and IE7 XP with all updates installed.)
The second last version installed fine.
I couldn't get a javascript code in the codepage working (it does work when FCK is used) so I wanted to try this new version.
I can't see anything that could point to TinyMCE in the modules folder on the server.
Hope you can help.

Thank You,

worked fine now. It really looks good. And I love the picture-preview a lot. - Great - it remembers the last used folder.
But a few things I would like to report:
First of all - the editor isn´t using german. For that I have to look for the configuration somewhere, do I ?
Second - maybe You want to know: please have a look at the enclosed letters.jpg. Some strange letters appear above the left corner.
Third - after uploading a picture and finally closing the upload-form, the content of the popup moves around 40px to top - out of reach. Please have a look at popup.jpg
Forth - if you insert a pic, add a link and use the advanced/alternative image for mouseover - the pic you inserted get lost.
Finally - IE reports an error. See error.jpg

Sorry - I dont want to border You, but maybe You need to know.

Best regards from Himberg, nearby Vienna.
