Hi,

I love website website baker but really miss a module that I can use to import data to create new pages from a spreadsheet (csv etc.).

Ideally I would create a spreadsheet with columns for things such as content 1,2,3, page name, page location, meta tags etc.

Then upload the whole thing via the admin panel and the pages are there. Is this possible? How much would some of you out there charge for creating such a mod? I would be quite happy to pay towards (some of the) the cost and for the mod to be freely available.

Please email me with your suggestion and ideas!

Thanks,

Konrad

Hoi John,

Groetjes,
Luc

To get you started

Start phpmyadmin and look at the pages and sections tables, for starters look at the wysiwyg
then add a page with a wysiwyg section
See what is added to the tables with phpmyadmin, look at other tables as well to see what is happening when you add a page

Then.... start coding

Other way to look at stuff,
take a look at the code wich adds a page and look at the code wich adds a wysiwyg section
Taking these two codes start your way from there

To speed things up, use a local xampp installation so you won't mess up a public install

The nice thing about WB is you can code whatever you want, but you need to code the odd things you can use as one of the few.
If this was helpfull for many then someone (even me) could start coding it.

Learn to code, you can't harm a local test-install
You can allways ask in the forum for some help if you can't get it to work.
