WAIT FOR NOW... AS I HAVE TO UPDATE THE MODULE SOME MORE...

This module collects all News Items from your site and combines them in a single
place... much like the AnyNews one. However it includes the following features:

 - Multilingual (matches your page language)
 - "New" prefixed for News that are within a 5 day window
 - Links to the pages that originated the news
 - Style matches News ones... readme tell you how to change it
 - Sample includes "EN" and "FR"... readme tells you how to add more.

You can view the module UI via attatchment.

Load it up from the attachment (however I have created the module using MS Zip and it seems that the WebSite Baker does not like this). And yes, I do have the right access rights to the file system.  I installed it using FTP... Did anyone else have problems loading up modules created from the Microsoft world?

Hope this is usefull.

Hi,

your problem with the zipping:

You must zip only the content of the folder, not the folder with the content.
see attached zip for the difference

And ... it maybee a good idea to clean-up the folder before zipping.
Files like "Thumbs.db" aren't necessary and blow up the zip's filesize ....

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.

Thanks for the "Zip" fix!

I was thinking about this... And I need to fix the module... so it works with "UniLingual" sites... as the SQL query will look for "en" news items...

If you are runnig a multi-lingual site... you should be fine with this release...

Sorry for the Thumb.db file...

As promised, attached are the RSS modules that I refer to in the AllNews module.

These modules are based on the RSS Feed module with the following mods:
   - Multi-lingual capability,
   - Various RSS 2.0 node fixes ... including the & replacement fix and the link node fix
   - Other RSS nodes data population

The modules are named
   - RssNewsFeed (lists out the posted news items)
   - RssSiteFeed (lists out the updated pages)

Our translation team monitors the site using these RSS feed modules... and translate the posted pages as they come...

Hope these modules are usefull...
