Inserting content in non-content area

Ok.. I want to have the possibility to create content using the common "create Page" option, but, instead of making a menu link, or just simple plain content I want to create content for another area of my site (think of a div in another part of the screen). Am I able to do so already? If so.. how?, are there definable "areas" in the template creation?, I didn't see where or how to create them.. so.. can anyone explain how can I create an "area" (adding a class to a div or so? something like < ?php $showArea[1] ? > ... I don't know..).
Thanks ^^

Btw.. regarding the subject u.u...
How can I add say.. uhm.. an image to a menu?. WB automatically creates links for the pages, and I may create links by myself and so on.. but.. How can I add whatever content I want to that area? (say... I wanna embed a clock.. or.. add some sort of "friend sites" and put some images with links to their sites)

Didnt see the modify button the first time > . <
Ok.. I read the Content blocks part in the help.. I don't know how I missed that part, sry!!
But.. the other question is still there.. ¿How can I add another type of "links" to the menu links part?
---
(don't tell me add a block next to the menu area, that's not the kind of solution I'm searching for)

Not exactly sure what you want. You can have multiple content blocks for each page. You can modify your template to control where each of these content blocks are displayed on your page. If you want the same content (such as a clock) in the same place on every page then simply insert the necessary code into the template rather than using a content block. Does that help?

I have my.. let's say, friend sites.
Each one has a banner. I want to add them as a menu. So each one gets an image and a link. Any way?
Is the only way to do that to add a block and modify its content as a page?

I still don't fully understand. Maybe you could create hidden pages...one for each friend. Then display that pages as a "block". Would that work? Take a look at this:
