Hello,

I wanted to create a fresh look for the admin interface,.. and this is the result, the WB MINT admin template for WB 2.6.x.

03/03/2008: Version 1.0.0 includes files, images and instructions for a whole new look to your admin layout

You can VIEW A SCREENSHOT HERE http://revivemarketing.org/images/screenshot.jpg

Purpose:  This theme enhances the look, feel and navigation of the WebsiteBaker administration, rather than a WB site. I know some will love it, some won't, and that's ok.

Installation: Download the ZIP and Follow the instructions within the .txt file:

There is no code to type, no scripts to run.. etc.
* You need to have access, ability to upload files, folders, images to your WebsiteBaker install.. either through your host or FTP account. I would highly recommend this be tested on a localhost prior to a production environment. Also, please BACK UP all files before replacing them (notice, I said 'replace',.. not overwrite!) Keep your original files intact, maybe something as simple as changing the names to <filename>_OLD... you get the point.

MODULES:There are folders for BOTH admin files and module files within the zip that will 'update' some modules to this new look as well. They are not all available, as I only created themes for the add-ons I have and use. There might be more to come, and if anyone wants to add to this, please feel free!

Compatibility: I've tested it on IE 7 on Windows, in FF 2.0.0.12 on Windows. It should really work with any current browser, though.

License: as per websitebaker.

List Of Files Inlcuded:
ADMIN FOLDER:
11 sub folders

MODULE FOLDER:
4 sub folders

TEMPLATE IMAGE & THUMBNAIL:
2 images total

WB MINT INSTRUCTIONS.TXT:

I hope you enjoy this new look and please provide info on any bugs, changes, or feedback..
Thanks again! It's great being apart of such a cool community.

Very nice!
Have you followed this thread: http://www.websitebaker2.org/forum/index.php/topic,8809.0.html?

The admin interface for 2.7 is ready, but it would be nice to have some other skins for 2.7 as well, since not everybody is very happy with the way it looks now.

Thank you,.. glad you like it! I hadn't seen that post for 2.7, but just read it...interesting.. I might look into it further.. I was actually waiting till the interface was decided and developed for 3.0, and was going to make a 'theme' for it.. but we'll see. As you can see in this theme, I added some effects to the pages screen, so when you rollover a row, it highlights, etc..

Thanks again! I'll get back to this thread with any more themes.

HERE IS AN UPDATED Admin Stylesheet.css to properly display the News module page.
this goes into your WB install >Admin > Interface folder.Be sure to rename the original one there, so this does not write over it..

I like it! Maybe you could create a light version as well? Personally I don't like dark themes that much. I know I can do it myself, but I also know I won't actually do that smiley
Thanks for contributing!

Glad you like it,.. I normally don't lean towards dark themes either, but the standard WB theme was a little plain and generic for my tastes.. I am working on a theme for WB 2.7 RC1 admin.. light/dark.. little different.. let me know what you think... Here's a snapshot.. If there's anyone who would like this one,.. I'll pack it and upload it.

Hi Revive,

definitively quite a different look.

- personally I'd like a mix of both designs most: the gray background of the first and content part plus the icon set of the second design
- credits (website baker is released etc) is better in the first design (and the current default design), it says what needs to be said without being pushy
- mentioning style (like Mint or Mystic) doesn't contribute to the clarity, and could be left out.

Vincent

@Vincent,

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you like it,.. or at least portions of each. Feel free to mix and match and put together  a theme as well.. there are so many different users, I'm sure the community would really dig it.

As for the credits - this is standard WB lingo, we didn't change anything here.. just put a bg behind it on the second design.. maybe that is what you're talking about not liking.. it's pretty easily removed.

And for the names, they are named after themes that inspired me, as well as serving as a way to distinguish the styles without a basic alpha or numeric name..

Thanks again!

Hi Revive,

you're right, if it is easy to adjust, let the users decide what to pick from which template.

And indeed I meant the bg of the credits - no problem if easily removed.
Looking forward to your post with the files.
Thanks!

Enjoy.. and I'd love to hear any feedback.. thanks again!

UPDATE***

Although our web design team has 'moved on' from WB, we are very grateful for having such a great experience, both with the CMS and the dev team through the forum. We have reposted this Theme to our site for anyone who may be looking for it.. cheers..

Hi

this Theme is not installable via backend in wb 2.8.

Would be nice if this one is available for 2.8.
Please see, if you can adjust it to the needs of wb 2.8 backend theme.

Thanks in advance
