Swift Image Gallery text
«

Is there a way to add text to images shown in Swift Image Gallery. I would like a gallery for an artist who would like his description shown under the work.
Cheers all

Hi,
I am also searching for a way to add text to the swift gallery images.
From what i have found out it does not seem to fit with the gallery design.
My thought is to add a link below the thumbnails displayed next to the main image and by using the name of the gallery in the link you could then be redirected to a hidden (or private) page of the same name as the gallery.
Still working on how to add such a link
I would be interested if anyone had other thoughts on this.
Basically a gallery entry consists of a number of pictures for a hand made clothing item and the making instructions are wanted to be added.

I tried to create such a link by mainly adding
- line 227 in view.php
- line 15 in xft2_swift2_gallery
.tmpl
in the appended module version.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for your post.
I guessed it would be in the view but had not worked it out yet.
I will look at your code and try it.
My workaround was to create images of the text and add it that way to the end of a gallery but I still look for a neater solution.
