When i make sites I work offline in a windows environment and when finished i relocate /wb/ by FTP and database by HTTP after i replaces the local URLs with server URLs by using a texteditor. Not rocketscience grin.

Accountered a problem when moving from server A to server B, where the filepermissions where wrong and i couldnt browse the site. What rights are the right ones?  I chmoded "pages" directory and files under it to 744 because 777 and 755 didnt work. As /admin/ actually did work, it didnt need any use of chmod.

huh What are the right procedures when restoring wb permissions?

Hello,

please read our help page before posting things wich are explained there. wink

http://help.websitebaker.org/pages/en/knowledge-base/files-and-permissions.php

WB is not designed for to make things lokal and then ftp them. If you upload the whole page with ftp, the ownership of all files are the ftp user and the WB scripts (wwwrun-user) have no permission to edit those files. So if you don't change the ownership you will run into a lot of errors, when updating modules, templates or languages or when trying to delete pages and and and ..... The solution to set all files and folders to chmod 777 works but is not recommanded.
