I've searched the forums and tried installing several times and I cannot get this to work right.
I want the website files at the top level meaning www.mydomain.com/

I copied the wb files to the top folder so they sit at www.mydomain.com and not www.mydomain.com/wb. Ran the install and oddly in the permissions section each folder contains wb/pages, wb/modules, etc. That does not seem correct, but I proceed anyway with all permissions enabled. In settings I changed the path to the pages directory to /

I try to create my first page and get the error "Error creating access file in the /pages directory (insufficient privileges)

I can reinstall to fix if necessary, but need to know must I upload the files to wb folder or can they be in the top folder?

My goal is to have visitors go to www.mydomain.com/ and all the pages are there and not in a wb folder or in a pages folder.

Thank you for your help!

Hello,

setting pages dir to root does not really work as it is unfortunaltely hardcoded in some cor and modul files. So in WB 2.6.7 i recommand to use /pages. We will fix a few things in the next version so changing pages dir should be better possible. If setting to root works cannot promise.

Installing WB needs to have all green in installer. If there are some folder red you run into issues. Please read our help page, there is all explained.

For Reeinstalling you don't need to overwrite all files. Only the config.php in the root folder is changed during install process. So simply upload the config.php and the install dir and install WB again. Activate install tables at installer to get shure to have a clean database.

Independend from the fact that setting pages dir to root didn't work due to WB issues it is on most servers not allowed that scripts generates files in the root. so ask your hoster about this. If it is not allowed, you never can use the root as pages dir.
