security, howto secure a website(baker)

Hello all,

when I do a search on "security" in the forums, or the FAQ's,
there is a lot over security leaks in the editors,
only nothing over the overall security

and when I am logged in there is a info post over security(no possibility to reply)

I am looking for a FAQ over how to secure my WebsiteBaker site.
In my village 2 websites are hacked.......

yes I have a strong passwd, the user name they can find every ware on the site!?!?!why  ?

what are the other items? I/we/you can do ??

Hello,

first of all, there is now known bug to hack WB v2.6.7. Most of the hacks reported here in the forum were due to server settings on shared platforms.

The only critical modules are the WYSIWYG editors. Some of them had security issues and were removed from the Addons site. Currently FCKEditor is the only editor we can advise.

Some people simple forget to remove the install script or simply rename the folder to _install. Or people install scripts like [ur=http://help.websitebaker.org/pages/de/knowledge-base/dateien-und-berechtigungen.php#anker5l]QuickXplorer[/url]  which allow to read out the config.php with the password for the DB ...
