Hi

I am a relative novice setting up a website.  I have successfully installed WB but the /WB/Pages/index.php is not the home page.  Instead it defaults to index.htm in the root directory.  I would appreciate any help in what is probably a silly mistake on my behalf.

Thanks All

re-install to root directory instead of having that index.html

Hello,

if your hoster sets a default index.html on your webspace this is taken before parsing the WB index.php. The solution is very simple. Delete the index.html file and wb should work.

Hi Matthias

Thanks for responding.  I did as you suggested.  Now the home page looks like this:

Index of /
 Name                    Last modified       Size  Description
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 Parent Directory        19-Jan-2008 11:22      -
 cgi-bin/                16-Dec-2007 11:36      -
 wb/                     20-Jan-2008 12:03      -
 wpThumbnails/           16-Dec-2007 14:08      -

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Apache/1.3.39 Server at www.rosecottagefarm .co.nz Port 80

Any ideas on why this may be?

Thanks

Reuben

The Configuration of the domain looks for the index file in the root of your webspace, but you still have WB installed in the subfolder WB.

Since it does not find any index file the server lists the directory. In my opinion this is due to a "suboptimal" serverconfiguration . Install WB into the root should do it. The way you done it now, just copying the index.php will not work, since WB requires all of it's files.

cheers
