2nd login request

Hi there,

When a general user logs into the portal (typing in their login details: username and password) they are then taken to a menu as usual.  When selecting one of the (top level) menu items - the user is then directed to the login page:- username and password! Once the user has typed his details in for the second time then he/she can access any area of the portal without any further username/password requests.  Why does this username/password request come up for 2nd time?

(To help clarify the problem the 2nd request is difference from the 1st:  the 1st request states 'Please log in to access the xxxx' Where as the 2nd request states ' Please enter your username and password below' )

Please could you help me resolve this issue?

The first Login, is it available on the frontend (template)?

If Yes, please specify the template ...
