Hi,

I installed WB on a linux/Apache server yesterday in a directory called wb.

I've built a load of pages and created a new template based on others I've studied and everything was working fine.  To put it live I wanted to rename the base folder to html.  (I have changed my config.php so the URLs and paths are not hardcoded as per another topic I read.)

I went ahead and renamed the folder and only the admin pages would work, so I renamed it back to wb thinking it would spring back to life.  Unfortunately it doesn't Sad

When I try to access the main wb directory or the admin index I get the following error message:

Error loading language file , please check configuration

I'm stumped now as the main folder is back to what it was and I haven't touched the language file.

I saw another thread similar to this but it said it was over 250 days old so I should start another topic - and that was from someone who had only renamed the pages folder.

Can someone please point me to what I need to do to correct this as I was hoping to put the site live tomorrow.

Thanks very much.

Hello,

a little bit confusing what you wrote and i think also what you have done. So what i understand:

you installed WB in a folder called "wb". After creating your pages ypu wanna rename this folder in "html". So you renamed the folder from "wb" to "html" and changed also the pathes in config.php to use "html" instead of "wb". After this changes your side doesn't work and you changed all back from "html" to "wb", but your side doesn't work anymore. Did I understand you right?

One Question, as you made the changes, did you closed all WB windows and clear your browser cache before starting working with renamed version, and also did you clear as you changed back? If not i think the wrong sessions cookies causes now database errors.

A possible solution could be to set all language fields in the database back to default EN. Look on help page, there is explaine how.

If i missunderstood what you have done, please explain it a little bit clearer.

Hi,

Yes you understood what I did Cheesy

I've now installed a fresh copy of WB into a folder called html and followed the instructions to copy an installation from one server to another and have managed to fix the problem now thanks.

I do have two other small problems though if someone could help me fix them please ?

I'm not sure what I did but I've lost the Powered by link.  I tried to add it to my footer but the link part is coming up in white (even though I've wrapped a font statement round it to make it blue so it shows up on the white background) and therefore doesn't show up.
I've changed it at the moment so at least it's got the text saying it's powered by WB but I can't get the link to work.

Finally I've created a page for news which has 3 sections - 1 for us to post news using the news module, a WYSIWYG section with just a header in that describes whats in the 3rd section which uses the newsreader module to display data from a RSS feed.

For some unknown reason a broken image (the small white box with a red cross) is appearing between the 2nd section and the 3rd section which links to a non-existent page (the link URL shown in the status window is http://www.guyburnetfans.co.uk/html/pages/)

The news page is at http://www.guyburnetfans.co.uk/html/pages/news.php

Thanks

I've fixed the footer link to the WB site now.

Still got the broken image problem even though I've now split the RSS feed off to a separate page
- I have logos turned off in the settings so I'm not sure why this broken image with a link to my pages folder is being generated.
