Hi,

I must say I really like Website Baker and I am developing site powered by WB now.

But there is a problem I would like to solve: When I was installing WB I had an error like this:
Field 'link' doesn't have a default value.
I searched Help/Support and realized there is a solution in switching strict mode in my MySQL off. I switched strict mode off and installed WB, then I switched strict mode on and there were the same problems again while inserting pages. In short it seems I cannot use strict mode in MySQL and since I work on localhost now I can have strict mode switched off now.

But what should I do if I install WB on hosts where I cannot change SQL mode or I do not want to change SQL mode (security reasons)? Should I change code and insert statements? (where and how?) Should I change tables in my database? (because MySQL manual says the problem occures only when a user wants to insert empty values into non-NULL columns; maybe columns should be only NULL?) Or I can hope WB3 will handle the issue?

Thanks for your system and thanks for your advices.

Hello,

WB 2.x and i think also the most modules will definetely not work with Mysql in strict mode. To get this working the whole code of WB and all modules needs to be rewritten.

So if you wanna use WB 2.x better is to look for a hoster with Mysql not in strict mode. I think the most ones have strict mode off, cause not only WB, a lot of other cms and tools have the same problem with strict mode.
