Module BMX form

Download : http://www.petervc.be/wbmodules/bmxform.zip

Purpose : This module can make it easy to generate a form for the http://www.webx.net/bmx/ bulk mailer. With this you do not need to adust any html code at all, just upload the module and enter the correct parameter into the fields of the module.

Installation: Download the ZIP and install it in the WebsiteBaker Administration (Add-ons -> Modules -> Install Module).

Compatibility: I've tested it on IE 6 on windows , Firefox and Safari 2.0.3 on MacOS.

Usage and Configuration : Add and new "Bulk Mailer 3 X" page and there you can make all the needed settings.

License: BSD license for the module itself, for Bulk Mailer X see http://www.webx.net/bmx/.

Hello!

Sorry for removing your module download, but I see a very big licence problem here.
I really want to thank you writing a module - and this one is working really good - but read the licence:
Quote
A BMX license grants you the right to run a single installation of BMX on one web server and one web site (domain) for each license purchased. For each extra installation of the program, a separate license is required.
BMX source code may be changed (at your own risk), but the software (changed or otherwise) may not be distributed to anyone beyond the license holder without the explicit written permission of Webx Networks.
License owners may modify the BMX code for their personal use (at their own risk), but any altered code must not be redistributed or resold in any form.

And the licence is even costing - US$25 per licence!

Could you please make sure why you can distribute openly here this module, best with statements / links from the webx company / webx.nt? If so you can of course get the link back to the module and we will get it to the addons page.
Otherwise I will strongly advise you to remove the module from your host - you won't be the first paying because want to do something good... So please understand me.  wink

Just a question here. I didn't look at the module download so I don't know if it included the BMX code itself...or just a module to incorporate it into WB. It looked like petervc contributed a module that would allow someone that has BMX to incorporate that into WB. Why is this a problem? It still requires the BMX software to be installed (and purchased). If the module includes the actual BMX code then I understand the licensing concern.

Hello!

Ok, you could be right...  cool Have look closer now and wondered what really is costing 25$ about a form.  cheesy It is too late I think, ok will remove my removing.
But would be cool if petervc coul clarify somewhere this, that there is not at all included BMX.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Well it is indeed so that I DO NOT distribute any code created by BMX itself, if you want to use the module you will need the BMX mailer software. This software you will need to pay for. I know there is also "free" bulk mailer software that can be used, but after a long search and testing there was nothing that worked as good as BMX with only using php.
So to make the bulk mailer work with a website you need to integrate a form that is posting to the BMX software. Therefore I decided write a module to make my life more easy. Then I was thinking that maybe someone else could use this software, so I posted it here.
I don't think I am violating any licenses by doing this, because the module is not build with BMX code but is build for use with BMX.
I just hope that this module can be of use for someone  smiley.
