Thanks. I took it to the comp. store yesterday and they said the needed to keep it overnight to take a further look at it, so I brought it home and played a bit. Got it to boot and haven't rebooted since. Cool

Take your External HD, or borwo one, and back up your HD and try to reboot, see what happens  wink

Ryan uses linux, so a ms-dos based program won't do much good, but thanks for the idea  wink

I use N-Case it's a professional data recovery program, also used by several public services (forensic's for example)  wink

-- that was on Wednesday - still haven't rebooted. Just goes to show the power of Linux (then again, I don't wanna start a time-wasting war here, so lets just say most other OS's are just as good, or better [depending on who you ask, of course cheesy]). Cool
