I use the Description field a lot - with show_menu2, I can use it to provide thumbnail descriptions of pages in a list of contents for a section of the site.

Often I put some basic HTML in it, which is fine for me, but a little difficult for some of my clients/site users.

What I'd like is to have the field use a rich text editor, just like any WYSIWYG page section.

I presume this will involve a little tweaking in /admin/settings/index.php, but before I dive in, has anyone done this before and are there any unexpected results I should look out for?

Thanks,

Daniele

Hi Daniele,

nobody seems to have done it yet ... so you are sort of "on your own" here. But have a look at the modules which use the editor and take it from there. As far as I remember it is not so hard to do it.

cheers
