Currently have existing site  (www.mysite.com)

If I install WB in this site, does that mean someone else could login before me and activate the installer?

If I create a new folder (like mysite.com/WB) will I need a redirect page? I would prefer to just put WB in the root folder (mysite.com)

Hope I'm making sense?

Once WB is copied to your host you have to run the installer to complete the installation process. I suppose if someone knew the install URL and the MySQL database name and password and could alter file/directory permissions, then they could complete the installation process (but this seems unlikely and you have bigger problems than WB if others have that type of authority over your site). Once installed, you will remove the install directory so you don't have to worry about it and will log into the backend admin with a userid & password that you define.

You can install WB in either the root or in a new folder and do not need a redirect either way.
