Search does not search news posts

Hi,

I'm using WB 2.6.7 and have found that on the basic installation the search function does not search news posts.

There are the relevant entries in the database 'search' table for news posts.

Has anyone any idea why this is?

I have the same problem, does anyone have a solution to this 
so the search, includes everything on the page?

Hello,

the search searches in the news post, the only issue is that the result page does not link to the post itself.

But there exists already test for new way of searching. Look here for the discussion:

Hi again... and thanks for the help

i have done alt it says on the page, with the module, but the last point on the "to do list"..
"install the needed [module-name]_searchext.zip as modules inside website baker. "
what is this, its proberbly something right infront of my nose!!!! but i can´t figure it out...
as for now.. it does not search the news.. even if i did everything on that list!! so it must be this last thing... ... plz... help

Hello,

you have to
0. download wb_searchext-core-V1.3.1.zip and at least wb_searchext-mod_news-V1.3.zip
1. install and configure website baker
2. unpack wb_searchext-core-V1.3.1.zip somewhere and copy the files from within the archiv over the original files on your web-server
3. call the upgrade-script from within your webbrowser
4. go to admin-area -> Add-ons - > Modules ->  Install Module, choose wb_searchext-mod_news-V1.3.zip, and press "Install"
