Hi,

One of my clients is interested in having a start and end date with the sections on their pages so that an article when created in a section (or block) has a live date (when the article will be displayed) and an expire date (when the article will automatically disappear from the site). They would also like an email to be fired off a few days before to warn them of an article that is about to expire.

Would anyone be interested in creating this module? We would be willing to pay a reasonable amount for this and would like it to be placed in the free module list afterwards (if this is of interest to anyone else).

Looking foward to hearing from you, please PM me.

Thanks,

Konrad

Hello,

the idea is good. However, I do not have the amount of time to develop such a module.

Already tried this?

XTD News module
This module is more or less the same as the news module, but this adds 'begin date' and 'end date' functionality, so articles can be hidden.
For version: 2.5.x.

I don't think John (pcwacht) ever finished the 2.5 -> 2.6 upgrade for XTD. I need this functionality too, but you know how the time flies.

There's so many little fixes to news (the blog features, the core v2.6.1.9 replacement - why wasn't that added to the core in 2.6.7 I wonder?) - they really need to be integrated properly  sad
