Dear community,

I would like to announce that the new multilingual WebsiteBaker Help portal is online right away.
http://help.websitebaker.org

The Help portal collects all information available for the Open Source CMS WebsiteBaker at one central place. All information is available in English, German and Dutch

The new Help portal fully replaces the old documentation Wiki at http://project.websitebaker.org.

Some of the features of the WB help portal are summarised below:
  • installation and first steps guides
  • all settings/options of the backend are explained in detail
  • up-to date information about template design
  • up-to date information about developing own modules
  • some important functions and variables are explained in more detail
  • FAQ and knowledge base section
  • Download area for all documentation available in PDF format
  • fully based on a WB installation with WB modules; no WIKI anymore
  • multilingual (English and German)
  • searchable with syntax highlighting
  • bookmarks with many CSS, HTML, PHP, MySQL, Apache resources
  • contains checklists and guidelines for raising the right questions here in the forum

Changes of forum culture
As we have spent quite some time on that project, we would like to take the chance to announce some changes to the forum culture effective from now.

We will no longer support or answer non WebsiteBaker related questions like issues with CSS, HTML, Server configuration settings, MySQL, Javascript ...

This is a WebsiteBaker forum and should hence focus on one thing only: websitebaker

Before you are posting here in the forum, please take a couple of minutes to search the forum (using the forums advanced search). In addition check out the documentation available at http://help.websitebaker.org.

Read the checklist and guidelines for raising questions before posting here in the forum.

Closing words
I would like to thank the following forum members for their contributions to the WebsiteBaker Help portal.
Michael Tenschert (waldschwein), Bernd (berndjm), Igor de Oliveira Couto (icouto), Klaus (kweitzel), Matthias (ruebenwurzel), Andrew (scribbz), Rob (panther), Ryan and last but not least thorn.

Have fun Christian (doc)
