Is there any interest in a cook book type module?

Right now I have a setup at http://food.upmykilt.net - I've got the look about the same as my old site, which is now a WB based site at upmykilt.net - but I'm debating on taking something like this and trying to create a module....

WB has a few pieces already that overlap... such as user administration, search ability, etc.

There are modules with pieces that could probably be adapted for this as well...

Before I go in and try to hack what I'm using to see if I can add some features I want, I thought I would toss this out here to see if anyone else is interested.

This isn't something I'd be able to tackle on my own... my coding level just isn't there right now... so I guess I'm asking

1) Is there any interest in this.. or is it like I've come to realize that like shopping carts, is it better off being something separate that can be be linked to, but is not part of the original site?

2) If there's interest, anyone want to help?

Hello Panther,

WB modules are always appreciated.

Depending on amount of recipes you want to deal with, you could think of:
 - create for each recipe a single WYSIWYG page
 - use bookmarks module to link to the individual recipes
 - make use of the poll module and the send link to a friend (code put here in the forum)

So most of the required components are available but wait for beeing baked to one working module.

Hi Panther,

a cookbook would be a nice module for WB.

I searched the web a time ago for a good cookbook solution, but couldn't find a really good one. Most of them are only for offline use and what exist as online solution is nothing to none.

So I set on my todo list "make a cookbook with php and mysql" - you know this kind of "never ending" todo lists?  grin
I'm damn short of time at the moment, but if you need help with the coding, feel free to contact me ...

Regards Bernd

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.

Excellent module idea - while I don't have a site to use it on at the moment - I'm certain there are many who would find this type of module quite helpful.

Heck my wife said she'd use it on our family site when I get it baked (AzAkers - broken snews atm)
