Hi,

i am looking for an image galery with which i can do the following:

1. Show Image-Folders/hierachy of any depth
2. Show Image Titels on preview
3. Open original images in a new window
4. No Mouseover/Flash/Animation pleas...
5. Important: Integration of IMAGES in search function
6. Keywords for Images (for the search engine)
7. Optional: EXIF-Data display

Image gallery does nearly what i want. But: No Keywords (as far as i see) and the search-function points only to a folder/album but not to a single image if the search phrase is found in the title of an image. Nothing about exif-data too...

Any ideas?

Hello

You might search on AMASP to find the module that you want.

Hi!

GDPics seems to have some layout-problems with my template. Especially with pictures in portrait-format. But i should be able to correct this.

What i am missing in ANY galery is the ability to search for single pictures. With GDPics i cannot specify any additional info (picture title, keywords) and the search function of wb does not find any pic. With "image galery" search is able to find the album but not the individual picture sad
I can build a single page for every pic with title and keywords and additional data. That would give me nearly the appearance and functionallity i want. But: Many, many pages and no (or manually build...) thumbnail-pages sad

Hi ubit,

You need JAlbum - google for it - it makes everything You dream about. And creates statik html. You can choose from a lot of templates for it, even design Your own, it creates everything within seconds (eventually minutes) - from thumnails to slides (which is a copy in the desired size of the original from camera) - creates a rss-file - and at least if You set it up --it transfers the whole gallery to Your server. Now You just need to wrap it with wb.

I had a testrun - 460 pic in collecting from 6 different folder (camera-sized) - creating copies in 800x600 px, thumbs, html-pages incl. menu - took 8:30 min.

After setting up the whole thing it is just 1 click to get it - And You can mange it later by adding, removing commenting or changing the theme or whatever.

Try it out

Hi,

but JAlbum isn't a Website Baker Module, is it? So it would not integrate into the WB Search sad And i think it would ignore the wb templates and i have to use a wrapper module.

Hi,

i nearly solved my problem... I modified "image gallery":

- added 2 new fields "author" and "keywords" for images. CSS stylable of course.
- modified link handling to achieve compatibility with other modules (image gallery's links were preceded by "/page")
- modified "modify_image.php" to reflect the additional fields
- modified entries in search table to be able to search for individual images. Search now looks in title, description, author and keyword-list

Album hierarchie can simply by done by using WYSIWYG-Pages to get the desired structure. Only at the end of the hierarchie mgallery (for modified gallery) is used to present the images.

What i removed is the ability to add multiple images at once. I just have had no time to understand and change the php there.

I have to do a couple of additional tests but my modifications seem to work well. Some work is still to do. E.g. i still use .gallery folder what prevents mgallery from beeing used concurrently with the normal gallery module. I have to change this. After this i will build a sample image gallery on my website with 100 or more images to see how it works in "real life".

While working on this modifications i am once more impressed by the simplicity of website baker. It is a really finde piece of software.

Sounds good,

because Your are working on it, - could You add a class to the link, in the view.php with <a class="$imgclass" href="....) which could be set through the options-pag. (to combine the image-gallery with fancy-box, which is called by class)

...and if not set doesn´t matter.
