I would like to show the current entry from my event calendar on the first page of my site -- similar to the anynews feature. Is there any way I can do this?

Thanks!

Hello,

you found the solution yourself. The anynews snippet.  grin Simply modificate it to query the event table instead of the news table.

I have been looking for this solution, and every search I find this answer, but for the life of me, I can't figure out what file and code to modify... can anyone help me?

To modify the Anynews snippet (which is different than the Anynews module) just modify...well, the snippet. Insert the snippet somewhere where it will be executed (maybe your template index.php or in a customized function file if you have something like that).

Search the forum...there has been much discussion. You might want to start here.

Man, you are fast on your response! I went back to modify my answer but you had already responded.

I *should* have mentioned in my earlier post that a snippet can also be used in a code module. The reason that I put mine in a customized function file is that I call the function more than once on my site.
