Hi,
I'd really like to use the aggregator mod for one of my websites but can't get the nested child pages to work with it. Here's the scenario:
- I've got a parent page set up as an aggregator that extracts a page summary by class - Nested below this parent page are a number of child aggregator pages that also extract a page summary by the same class - Nested below each of the child pages are the actual content (wysiwyg) pages that have the specified class wrapped around some of the content.
This works on the child page but the parent page only displays the page number. If I tick the 'Include page title' it will display this but I'd rather just display the summary. Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?
Thanks,
Konrad

[BUMP] Any ideas? I'd really like to get this working. I've tried all sorts including wrapping the <address> tag around my content in the template hoping that the parent page will be able to pick up on it but no luck so far. Could someone please help?

One of my Aggregator pages stopped working and it took me a while to solve the problem. So I thought I'd post the details here in case it helps anyone else...
If one of your pages included in the Aggregator includes a code section that calls another page (for instance a function page or a redirect) the Aggregator will break.

Hello,
i would like to display an image with the same name as the page title. For example: page title is hello, then i want to display an image <img src="hello.jpg"> above it.
And is it possible to display the page titles in 4 colomns in the aggregator instead of under each other?
Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

This module's just what I needed long ago to make automatic overview-pages for different photo albums. Surprised, works perfect, even generates preview pictures from first thumbnail in a lightbox-module. -- Also selection of specific text by class or tag is great. On a different server, preview pictures didnt appear. Finally found, it uses the function "allow_url_fopen" set to "on". This could be done by change in php.ini an all's ok. (If you've no access to php.ini, ask your provider) Thanks to Igor de Oliveira Couto, great work!

Hi, This module is really useful. Is there an easy way to modify the way the link to the child page works - the link appears to encompass the whole item: http://www.aldbournecc.co.uk/pages/cricket/match-reports-2010.php?aggpage=1I would like for example to a the word more... to the item and have the link applied to that word. I've look around view.php but my PHP isn't up to it. Any help would be greatley appreciated.

Hi - I've read the thread - downloaded and installed the view.php file.
Nothing seems to have changed.
In the example shown, the title is a link and the Read more... is a link, the text is just text. This would be brilliant but has not worked for me by installing the new view.php file.
Is there another file I need? Where is the "Read more..." drawn from, it isn't in the view.php file? I think I am missing something crucial.
Any more advice?

I am having problems getting images from child pages to display. The image off one page does show, but the other two, which I have tried re-adding as GIFs, JPGs and PNGs, always display as a box with a red 'x'. I've even tried a different template to see if that was the cause. All three images have been added into a WYSIWYG. It's frustrating, as everything else is spot on. Is there a specific format or size range images should be saved in for this to work, or am I doing something wrong?

There won't be a lot we can tell you from here ... what happens if you open the URL to the image? How does the URL look relative to the page URL? I think, that the issue might be in the URL.

Did you try it in FF? If I remember correctly IE sometimes has issues with the space in filenames. You could try to remove evey special character from the filename.

Just tried re-adding the files to the root Media folder, and opening in IE and FF with the exact same result. The image that DOES show has a very long and messy filename.

And this filename does not have any spaces in it, right? cheers Klaus

Right.
It has plenty of underscores, but no spaces. The images that don't display are now single-word filenames, saved in the root of the Media area. I have re-added them, then reinserted them to the WYSIWYG to no avail. I've also retried as both GIF and PNG.

And the aggregator page? Are the reference URLs shown correctly now (not the links!)? You might need to recreate the aggregator section on the parent page. But first of all try clearing the cache of your browser.
cheers

Have re-added the Aggregator page. The URLs for the images on the aggregator remain as links back to the child pages, same for the working image.

The link as far as I remember is alright, working as designed. The URL loading the image is the interesting bit though. How does that look and does it work? That is not clear to me from your previous post.
cheers
