The Download Gallery module would not install. The following message comes up:

Warning: move_uploaded_file(/home/anatolia/public_html/temp/download_gallery_v1.82.zip) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/anatolia/public_html/admin/modules/install.php on line 46

any ideas?

Hello,

if you got an permission error, why didn't you then give the permissions?

Look to "temp" ,"pages", "modules" and/or "media" directory for permissions. Should be 755 or 777.

Thanks Matthias, I did try the permissions before but I tried again after your advice and I could not make some of the things work. I believe the problem might be related to the following:

I did my web site in my local server,
in order to migrate it to the web server
I exported the database in my local server using the phpmyadmin tools,
then imported the file in the web server
and then transfer some of the other files with FTP.

Would that process create permissions problems? maybe I did it completely wrong....

Yes, that could create permission problems since FTP'd files aren't owned by WB. Did you check the permissions as ruebenwurzel suggested?

thanks again,

yes I did check the permissions again, all folders were 777 except temp that was 755, I changed it to 777 and I think it is working fine now....
