Hi

I have noticed problems with Captcha pictures in IE7. It works fine in Firefox 1.x - 2, Safari and IE6. But not in IE7. Anyone knows why?

Thx

I just tested it on two of my Installations with the contact form, works fine here. Takes a second longer to load than the rest of the page, but that would be normal.

Please specify the module you are using and also please test on 1 of my installations, www.weitzel.biz (link to english page in footer). It might be your settings in IE which prevent it from working.

For shure, please empty your cache and retry.

cheers

Thanks for your answer. Your site works fine in my IE7, i can see the captchapicture.
I have tried to change my IE settings, and emptied cache, but it still doesnt work.

See: http://www.adventureski.no/pages/kontakt.php

does it work for you in IE7?

weired, it indeed does not work. It might be a server config issue together with IE7. If it was a general issue with the captcha and IE7, we would have heard more about it.

Did you try other modules or scripts which rely on the image-manipulating modules within PHP? Have you asked the serveradmin about this?

cheers

Yeah it is really weird. GDlib which i suppose the Captcha function is built on is installed on server, and works fine with the imagegallery:

Here is the phpinfo:

so I tracked down the original captcha code used for website baker at php.webmaster-kit.com/ - downloaded the auditor.zip and put it on my web server. This shows the captcha in IE6. I'm not a PHP wizard, could somebody figure out what the difference is in the website baker captcha and this? It's such a great feature but it needs to work on IE6 too.

Thanks, pixeldiva

I don't have issues with IE (neither IE6 or 7) or FF (1.5 or 2) on W2k and XP and tested on different machines ... it has to be something with your computer.

cheers

Hello,

looks all good here, seems to be your local browser or pc config.
