I've been tinkering with WB for a few months now (greastest CMS IMHO), and I decided to add a forum to my site.  Lucky me when I found the SMF Forum module, right?  Well, sort of.  I've installed several modules and templates with success, but when installing the smf forum, I have nothing but failure.

When I hit "install," I get a "Problem loading page - The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading - try refreshing your page..." (the pages one might get if his/her internet connection was down - mine isn't though).

In the meantime, I'm using phpbb, on a separte domain, with the wrapper module.  This works, but I'd like a more integrated/permanent solution.

thanks, Max Power

btw:  I've tried the manuel upload by ftp and refresh module option but to no avail  huh

I installed the one from the official addons page.

update:  upon further review I noticed that my web server refuses/disallows ".zip" extensions.  So that means that the file in the directory: /smf/secured/secured.zip  doesn't upload.  Could that be the source of my problems?

Hello,

don't know if this causes your errors. But as far as i see the file have to be stayed as zip file in the smf folders. As smf is a third party product, we can give no support for smf here. Pleasy aske smf specified questions in the smf forum.

Have you tried to install the smf forum stand alone on your server (mean not the wb modul, mean the original smf files)? Did that work? If not SMF couldn't be installed on your server, but this is then no WB problem, this has to do with your hoster.
