Hi - I loaded your program - looks quite impressive. I'm experimenting with it to see if I want to replace my hand coded (very simple) web site with something based on your software. I've managed to get it installed, and I can create the first page. However, I have a file (xxx.jpg) on my first page which I can't seem to load. When I select 'insert/modify image' it brings up a dialog which tells me that /media is empty. However, if I select the media tab, it lists the folder I created, the file I put in the folder and will open a web page with the picture if I click on it. What do I need to do to insert an image into a page??

If I decide to stay with this program, I'll register here too...

thanks,

Hi!

Your problem sounds a bit weird to me. I'd like to help, but not sure if the answer is easy or not. I hope I won't waste your time.

1. Did you upload your file using the "Media" tab in WB admin, or FTP? Did you create the new folder using WB admin, or FTP?

2. When you FTP to your site, is the file visible in the media folder of WB?

3. When you try to insert the image, can you see the folder you made? Did you make the folder using WB?

4. Have you tried putting an image just in the root "Media" folder to see if that works?

The reason I ask about FTP is that sometimes FTP file permissions do strange things to people.

Melissa.

Hello,

welcome to WB  wink

maybe another solution is to change the WYSIWYG Editor. When you install WB, HTMLArea is the standard WYSIWYG Editor. Thisone is n ot up to date and the HTMLArea project isn't continued. TGry to use anoter Editor. You can download f.e. FCKEDitor or XINHA moduls for WB at http://addons.websitebaker.org. Only Download the modules to your lokal machine, and choose in WB at addons - modules the place where the downloaded zip files are and hit install (takes a little time so wait 2 or 3 minutes depending on your online speed) . Then go in WB to options - advanced options and change the WYSIWYG Editor to FCKEditor or Xinha.

Hope this helps you

Hi - Looks like the problem was the WYSIWYG editor - I downloaded and installed one of the addons and it then let me select the picture.

Thanks for the help!
