FIRST IDEA

It would be great to have 2 modes of displaying the results of the folder when we accept to browse subdirectories :

one way : everything is browsed and displayed (like now)

second way : user browse with directories (icon + name ) and only the content of the directories is displayed and you can browse up and down ( like yahoo)

SECOND IDEA
store a brief description of each file on the database

just ideas .... thanks for all

i have thought about this, i have a plan set up but i just havent gotten time to make it.. the admin section would look like this

<file listed> <name for file listed> <description blank>

EDIT:
like this..

(No name for file) Whatever.zip This is whatever.zip, a great file.

(With name) WhateverXP 2k4 This is whatever.zip, a great file.

/EDIT

The file would not appear as whatever.zip or what ever else if you had a name ofr the file, instead the name of the file listed would be the link that people click to download the file listed. im sure i confused the non technically inclined people but i hope some ppl have an idea of what im gonna try to do in the next few weeks.[/url]

I think the downloads module is very suitable as is, but if you created a seperated (modified) version of it, maybe called something like "Downloads Plus", then ppl could chose to use it instead. Cool
