I'm looking for a way to limit the search function to a specific language. Thought this should be easy bo just adding an other parameter to the database query in the search.php (something like "AND language = 'EN'"). But obviously the search is more complicated than it looks like as chaning the query string this way doesn't have any effect ...

Any hints what and where to look for?

Thanks
Franz

P.S.: I'm working on a multilingual website (GE, EN) and most problems are solved not. The language specific search is the last bigger issue. I'll post the complete solution for a multilingual site as soon as it's completely up and running as I've seen there is quite some need for a working solution for that.

Hello,

this is possible as you can see on the WB Help Project. Requires to modify the search.php and to edit the search fields in the WB Settings. My solution requires you to set up pages like: /pages/en/ ... /pages/de/ ... and so on.

Regards Christian

Hello,

this is possible in WB2.7.
have a look at http://nettest.thekk.de/pages/testarea.php
just add a hidden path-field to the search-form

you will find a [german only, yet] description here http://nettest.thekk.de/pages/testing/new-search-function/anleitung-ls.php

thorn.
