I am currently using CMS Made Simple (NOT!) and am thinking of moving my stuff to WB... the question is if WB is installed in a sub-directory (i.e. www.xyz.com/wb) do the generated pages have this format of URL (www.xyz.com/wb/index.php?page=secondPage) or is the URL SEO "friendly" (without the "page=").

Hello Dude,

WB usually generates URLs in the format
www.your-domain.tld/[PAGES_DIRECTORY]/page-name/sub-page-name/sub-sub-page-name.[FILE_EXTENSION]

[PAGES_DIRECTORY] and [FILE_EXTENSION] are cusomizeable.

The above linked thread posted by user dbs has another approach to generate the urls if you so like.
Worth having a look
In most cases however you will find that the standard URLs within WB are SEO friendly.
However, in some projects I use the "short URL" from here http://short.allwww.nl/

Kind regards and welcome to WB CMS,
Stefek

Thank you... can you tell me anything about the Lepton fork?  I saw it "advertised" on one of the WB sites, and am a bit skeptical.. never seen an ad for a competitor on the same site.  huh

I don't know much about the fork. Never used nor installed it.
I am happy with WebsiteBaker.

Kind regards,

You probably seen it on amasp.org, which is not an official WB site, but a private site targeted at both WB and the other one.
