I would like to add music files to be played back from the site. I have looked at modules Songlist and Mp3 playlist. Both use the Quicktime player. Neither seem to have been updated since 2008.

Songlist looks the most useful but I think the Quicktime thing is a bit of an issue. Has anyone tried it? Or something else? How about Flash mp3 player? Any advice welcome.

i use a simple flashplayer, called mediaplayer.swf) on this site here. it was a older version of JW Player. the player works with xml-files for the playlist

Eeey,

also check out this Music Jukebox with XML-playlist which got a customizable background (png) image
and is easy to implement on pages with an iframe,

a complete free player is here:

http://www.sean-o.com/jquery/jmp3/

it's very very easy

just put the scripts like described in your template

and paste in a Wysiwyg something like this:
Code:
<span id="sound" class="mp3">sound.mp3</span>

all .mp3 files are automagical detected....easy and simple

i'm using a Droplet for playing files like [[mp3?url=www.my-domain.com/media/mp3/sound.mp3]] to build the HTML i want.
