GO cart problem in remote website
«

Hi everybody,
I made up my website in local using Wamp server then I uploaded it. Everything is fine, I re link the Database tables and now the website is working. I made a lot of Gocart galleries, these gallery worked fine in local now in the host they don't work anymore. This is the message the host gave me when I try to edit or modufy the gocar pages:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' in /web/htdocs/www.mezzalana.com/home/modules/gocart/modify.php on line 1
This error doesn't ring any bell to me. Can anyone help me because I've at least 20 pages made with gocart and I don't wanna re make them!
Thanks

I'm sorry to say, but GoCart is obsolete and buggy, and not compatible with current WB. It's an alpha status module made for WB2.7 and has not been maintained since mid 2010. You'd better use Bakery for shop functions. It's the only (reasonably) usable WB shop at the moment.

uh I didnt know it, so this mean I have to rebuild all the pages made with gocart? It's gonna be very very boring...and honestly I'm going to use this website just for show the products I sell. This mean it wont be updated very often. Maybe I could downgrade the websitebaker...but it is strange, why gocart work locally and not in remote?
And I have another website with the same provider and gocart works like a charm...
I dont give up, ther must be a way to make gocart working...

Well, I'm not saying you shouldn't use it, but it's just not an up-to-date module. Probably your hosting or environment or WB specs are lightly different from your local specs? It could be a minor thing, or a big thing, you don't know until you investigate (or someone else does). Could be some conflict with a template or other module...

yes thanks...Perhaps I read too quickly when I download gocart, you know, I found it in "add on repository" so I guess it was ok...I was wrong no worries. Now I'm in fact trying to figure out what's the problem. The strange thing is with the same provider, I installed wb and go cart and it works, another website in the same provider and...doesnt work...I could reinstall an older version of Wb and see what happen...

I think maybe there is something wrong with my server, because I also installed the Bakery module and as Gocart this is the result when I try to add a new bakery page
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator,
postmaster@mezzalana.com
and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
And yesterday I tried to create a new gocart page in another website, same provider, same server, same versione of Wb and in this website it works...it's very very strange...

Try to install another WB on the same domain (in another subdirectory), and see if that works. If not, there is something wrong with the domein/hosting configuration on that particular domain. If it works, there is some error in the first WB install.

Thanks I already try to installa Wb (also older version) in the domain, I try to installa a totally new installation and doesnt work...so I guess it is a provider problem. This make me very worry because in that case I cannot solve the problem....
