Feedback - Upgrading 2.7 to 2.8.1 and 2.8.2 upgrade advice please

Hi WB

2.7 to 2.8.1 all went very smoothly (150 pages)    I had some IE CSS issues with the news module but only in IE, no other browser.

So, I have been reading about the process of upgrading from 2.8.1 to 2.8.2 ...

Can anyone point me to the latest and best set of instructions to do that please?

a short description for an upgrade from 2.7 to 2.8.2SP you can read here:

Basically you can use this for your version too, as you can be shure you have then the latest version wich should work without any issues.

I had some IE CSS issues with the news module but only in IE, no other browser.

There are changes in the frontend.css of news and form modul. So if you haven't a backup the new version works with the default frontend.css files of those modules.

Also you should have a look in the head section of the index.php from your template.

Yes this is 2.8.2 SP2.

Am I up-to-date?

No  . There exists an additional Hotfix wich you can download, unzip an upload to your webspace. If this is done you are 100% up-to-date

Hello,

i recommand to install the hotfix. Especially the feature that you then can see that you have SP2 installed makes questions about versions easier.
