Adding a News Item

Can someone assist with a problem while I'm trying to add a News Page.

I can add the page to my site, but whenever I try to create a new post I get the following message:
Error creating access file in the /pages directory (insufficient privileges)

Below are the details of the module

I am also unable to find any other modules of this kind to be able to write my own news reports.

Another possible and powerful replacement would be Topics by Chio (www.websitebaker.at) but that does not solve your issues. They are related to the server configuration.

My guess at the moment is, that you can not let your webserver create files / folders within the WB installation. The files of WB have been uploaded by FTP, right? You need to find out, if your FTP useraccount shares a usergroup with the user the webserver is running (lets call it Service Useraccount). Depending on that you may set your accessrights on the files / folders.

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly, the link you provided is to a Germany website I believe so unable to find the module Topics you speak off.

I am also struggling to find the FTP access for my site at the moment, but as I have just taken over this site from a friend I'm trying to get him to help me with this but also struggling to get him to answer his phone..... Love It
