Connect on Database on same server

Hi,

I would like to create another DB on same server where WB is. Is there a way to create new connection to database2 so I can extract files using wb core functions.. ?

unfortunately the class 'database' from WB less then 2.9 is not able to proceed multiple, independend connections.
If i find the time during next days, then i will modify it to do that.

Werner, could you please, when you have time, modify database class..

My idea was to have $database, $database2 etc defined in config file, and to use $database->query() and $database1->query() ... in code where I need it..

this is just my logic, I dont know if this could work, or crash WB..
