FCKeditor not working well with ie9, even in the latest version

in the wysiwyg image and link button internet explorer 9 do a blue popup

here's why.

When we click on "image" or Link in IE9:

with F12 we go change the compatibility to IE8 and it works :

also not working well in safari or firefox, which both ask if you want to open the file fckeditor.html when you try to edit a page !

If we cant use a browser properly with website baker.. then its pretty much useless to me now. Can this be fixed? I dont want to install a new editor as i have multiple WB installations, and i dont want to have to redo each one every time there is an update.

Yo.
There are also heavy problems with Chrome...
I sometimes use 4 browsers at the same time and the same page.. one for editing text, another for inserting pictures, another for editing links. Sad

I hope, the CKEditor is working soon.

Problem is at fckeditor

Google: fckeditor ie9 -> http://dev.ckeditor.com/ticket/6576

Esasy solution is addig
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE8" />
to your ADMIN template

Better is to switch to cke or other editor.

Yups, google is filled with it.

There need to be a fix for cke or fck first before wb can fix this.
Both editors are made by them and only a minor part is coded to include them in wb.

Did you try the demo of cke? -> http://ckeditor.com/demo
If this works then cke needs updating in wb.

Since I work with ie8 and ff I can't test it - doesn't have those problems

In the last post (as of now) Ruebenwurzel attached a CKE Package which updates the Editor to 3.6.2. This version of the editor fixes some of the issues with IE9.

Since it is a test-package and does miss a file, there is no real release yet.

cheers

I agree, but I'm only a try and error coder, so o think it is better to test this version in a smaller part of the community smiley). As soon as this modul seems to be stable it must be announced in all boards.

Agreed, but this thread is older and very well posted in. And exists only in german.
