Media File problems

I am a new user and not a programmer / designer / techy so please be patient! I have been operating my site with no issues until recently when I suddenly have 2 problems: 1 - my media file is suddenly empty (tho previously had many images in it) and 2 - I cannot upload any new images, it always brings message "0 files successfully uploaded"

I have previously managed to do this with no problems and there have been no alterations to the site.

Any ideas? Many thanks!!

Please check wth ownership and permissions of the folder, maybe something went wrong there. If you don't manage that yourself with FTP or other tools provided by your hoster, you'll need to contact their tech support.
