Is it ok to change htt admin templates to html, I am doing a site for a client and need to add some links in the admin and find it awkward with htt files.

Just wondered if the htt files are needed?

*.htt - files are templates only and do not contain callable html. That's why they are located under 'templates'.
HTT = HTml-Template
Templates are needed by the corresponding *.php - files to give the HTML-structure for generated data.

Depending on you editor there is in most cases a way to tell the editor it should render files with certain extension (in this case *.htt) as HTML.
You will be able than to edit those templates as they where *.html.

stefek's right. Or you can rename to html, edit and rename back to htt. WB needs them to be, so that should be the final extension.
