Hi all,

A couple of Media and Media Folder issues I can't seem to solve...

1st Problem:
A site I am working on has all the usual WB stuff in it. However, when editing any page and I want to insert an image using the [insert image] icon and clicking on 'Browse Server' from the popup menu, the Media folder is empty. See 2nd Problem.

2nd Problem:
I upload countless images to the Media folder via FTP but when I want to install any of them using the [insert image] icon and the following 'Browse Server' selection from the pop up, there are no images to select. However, I can get the images to appear if I type in the path to the image directly and NOT use the 'Browse Server' option of inserting them.

3rd Problem:
When uploading an image to the Media folder under the Media tab, I get the following example error lines after it says it was uploaded successfully:

Code:
Warning: filesize() [function.filesize]: stat failed for ../.././media/TEST-button.jpg in /content/Hosting/b/e/bellcom.ie/web/admin/media/browse.php on line 186

Warning: filemtime() [function.filemtime]: stat failed for ../.././media/TEST-button.jpg in /content/Hosting/b/e/bellcom.ie/web/admin/media/browse.php on line 188

File and server permissions all check out. What am I missing?

Thanks in advance,

Seanie.

The is a permission problem.

When you upload a file by FTP the file is owned by the FTP user and not the website user.
So use your FTP program to set more permissions (ie 777), or use the website/admin/media upload functions for uploading your images.
Just try uploading one using the admin and see the difference.
