I have searched the forums yet cannot find the solution to the problem that I am having. If I have overlooked it, please direct me to the solution and accept my apologies.  grin

When using the Installation Wizard, I put my website's URL in the "Absolute URL" field however when I click Install Website Baker, I get an error that states "The webpage cannot be found."

I installed Website Baker in a directory that I name "WB" in my file manager. The Installation Wizard did not automatically starts when I went to my webpage. In order to start it, I had to go to something like this:

http //www. my website name.com/WB /WebsiteBaker /wb/   (I added spaces to make sure the link showed)

Did I install Website Baker in the wrong place or what am I doing wrong?

Just to clarify, I want people to just type my website's URL without them having to add /WB/ etc.

Thank you in advance!

Hello,

The "wb" folder isn't needed. Best is you delete the whole folder with all content in it from your server. Then upload only the files and folders wich are within the wb folder to the root directory of your webserver. If you now call your domainname the installer should start automatically. The URL wich is recognized in "Absolute Url" don't need to be changed.

That worked, thank you so much!

One more question, like you advised I did not change the "Absolute Url" so that is http://www.thenameofmysite.com/wb,
now when I go straight to my website (www.thenameofmysite .com) I get a "Forbidden: You don't have permission to access / on this server" page. The only way I can go to my site and/or the admin page is by adding the /wb on the end. Is there any way to avoid this, I really don't want to have to go back and add the /wb on all of my advertising, business cards, etc.

Thanks Again!

I adviced you to not upload the wbFolder, you should only upload the files and folder within the wb folder and the start install script. Only in this case you dont have the /wb at the end of your domainname. So please delete all files on your server, upload the wb files again and start the install again.
