Running WB 2.8.2, rev. 1484, installed the latest MPForm (which according to http://wbdemo.heysoft.de/pages/en/mpform/installation.php?lang=EN I am NOT required to apply the patch) and Captcha still does not work -- ever.

Trying it on Windows 7, both Firefox and Chrome browsers.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

p.s. Yes, I've read other wb forum posts on this question, and have not yet found a solution.
p.s.s. Yes, I've read through heysoft.de and it's documentation and did not find a solution.

I suppose you will not get any answer from Frank on this forum because he is banned.

Maybe you try to contact him diretly using his homepage, but don't know if he is offering support via mail.

If you have any news please share with us. The MPform is widely used since the basic form is a little outdated and has less configuration.

Update: It seems that there is a new version of MPForm? http://wbdemo.heysoft.de/pages/en/mpform.php

But when trying to install there's this error: Security offense!! Access denied!

So to be short: how to avoid this error?

Yeh there is a version 1.0.1 now.
Seems the module already had FTAN support build in, but WB can't handle this in the frontend.
At least I checked and found that even the form module that comes with WB does not check the FTAN in the frontend at all.

I assume that is why v 1.0.1 exists: It has FTAN support disabled - problem solved.

Same issue when installing MPForm v1.0.1 on WB 2.8.2: Security offense!! Access denied!

Update:
Can someone else test this MPform on a fresh 2.8.2 install? I'm curious if the cause is from my install or MPform.

I have a fesh WB 2.8.2 + Security fix from Aug 1st.
MPForm installed without error.
Where exactly did you get the error?
During installing the module or during creating a page?

Thnx for responding.

I installed the latest RC version and upgraded it with the stable version. The adminversion says:

CMS Version 2.8.2
Revision 1480
Admin version 1.5

May be there's was something wrong with the upgrade. However the upgrade script gave no errors.

UPDATE: I cannot install any module right now. Has this got to do with my server configuration?

Hello,

Quote
CMS Version 2.8.2
Revision 1480
Admin version 1.5

The aktually Version is
Quote
CMS Version 2.8.2
Revision 1485
Admin version 1.6

Please download the Changed_File Packagefrom Step 2, unzip it, upload it.

Be shure all files are replaced with the new-ones, especially in the argos_theme

Then run the upgrade-script wich comes with this package.

Did this solve your issues?

Hi Matthias,

Thanks! It solved the issues.

Here how it started for me a few weeks ago:

Installed WB 2.8.2. Latest RC
Upgraded to final version WB 2.8.2.
Upgraded with Fix Revision 1484
Upgraded with (your) Fix Revision 1485

Now it's working but I hope there are no unused files left behind. I like clean installs and dirs Wink

Thnx again.

Boudi

PS: may be an idea to reconsider an updated ZIP for a total 2.8.2. WB install?

It's no good idea to have different 2.8.2 packages, a patched and an unpatched Version with the same number causes a lot of confusion. That's why we decided to let the sable in the version from that day, as we released 2.8.2. A better idea is to release in the near future 2.8.3 as a Patch-release with no new features, wich only includes the fixes we've found until this releasing date.

Well why wait  grin

To be honest I have several websites to build the forthcoming weeks. As for now I'm not sure any more which package to download any more besides the official 2.8.2. version.

Is it:
Download 2.8.2 stable version + http://www.websitebaker2.org/forum/index.php/topic,21997.0.html and then step 2? If so then the Rev. 1484 in the official downloadsite isn't actual any more?

Overall, bit confusing  huh

Yes indeed. By the way, 1484 and 1485 are technical exactly the same, only a different SVN Number. And yes, the devs should not wait too long for releasing a new version. Only this way the confusion can be cleaned.

Hello,

just read this information from the dev of this modul:

Quote
Latest version 1.0.1:
    - disabled FTAN support (because it does not work at all in the frontend, even with WB's own modules)
    - there is no longer support for WB users, sorry.

Thnx. I noticed it.

But there's no equal alternative for MPForm that has the same configurations and options. And for me MPForm is almost standard in every WB site which I bake since the basic form has far less configurations and options.

Hi folks,

In my opinion the answer is not solved yet.
Still the error : 'The verification number (also known as Captcha) that you entered is incorrect' appears.

I have a website with CMS Version 2.8.1
Revision 1287
Admin version 1.4

After uploading module MPform version 1.0.1 , the captcha isn't working.

Maybe somebody has any idea ?
