Hello,

again, wich upgrade instructions did you follow? You are here in the thread from upgrading 2.8.1 to 2.8.2. The instructions here only work for this version upgrade. To upgrade from 2.7 to 2.8.2 you have to do other steps.

Quote
run the install script.
for to upgrade you must run the upgrade-script. Using the install-script breaks your installation.

For to giv you a really help please ask the following questions?

Wich files did you download from where to upgrade your Installation?
Wich script did you run to upgrade your installation?

Trying to upgrade a 2.7. version with the changeg package file for upgrading 2.8.1 to 2.8.2 cannot work and will break your installation, also using install script instead of upgrade-script will also break your installation.

The more information you give us, the more we can help.

This is what I did.
I followed the instructions from:
 http://www.websitebaker2.org/en/download/latest-version/upgrade.php

For version 2.7 to 2.81, then I ran the upgrade script (not install).
Maybe the problem was that I followed these instructions, but downloaded the 2.8.2 version? Where can I find the 2.81. version?

Thanks,
Leora

Hello,

now it is a little bit clearer. Hmm but how to fix your issues? Not shure if it works but try the following:

1.) Download Websitebaker 2.8.2SP2
2.) Unzip it to your lokal Computer
3.) Delete the install folder and the config.php and/or config.php.new files from this package
4.) Login with ftp to your webspace
5.) Delete the following folders on your webspace:
- the admin folder
- the includes/codepress folder
- the modules/fckeditor folder
- the modules/reload folder
- the modules/backup folder
6.) Upload the package from your computer to your webspace
7.) Check if all files on your webspace are overwritten with the new ones from your package
8.) Run the upgrade-script.

This procedure should give you a working 2.8.2SP2 version of WB.

Thanks. I just installed 2.8.1 and it worked.

Now I have another problem though. My site's index created by start.php is now showing up in a little iframe as opposed to the whole screen, that was not in an iframe before.

Do you know why?

Thanks,

Hi everyone,

I am kind of confused: Does the Websitebaker-2.8.2_changed_files.zip archive contain the original 2.8.2 update without any service packs or just SP1? I've just updated my wb installations and would like to know what version I am running now.

Could you maybe document what version the update archives contian. Further if this is not SP2 (which it is definetly not b/c the version in the backend is 2.8.2 for me and not SP2) what is the best way to update to SP2?

Thanks for the hard work!

Kind regards
Dennis

Yes, it does not include the Service Packs. But i will update the package in the next few hours. So you can use it for an update from 2.8.1 to the latest 2.8.2 SP2 with only using the changed_files Package.

Sorry that i forgot to actualize.

Have fun

Hi,

can I also use the changed files archive (as soon as it has been updated to SP2) to upgrade from 2.8.2 to 2.8.2 SP2 (the installation has already been upgrade from 2.8.1 to 2.8.2)? Or what is the intended update process from 2.8.2 SP0 to SP2?

Has the changed files archive been updated to SP2?

Kind regards
Dennis

Hello,

upgraded the changed_files package to the latest version. It includes now SP2 and the hotfix 2011/11/29. You can download it here:

Websitebaker-2.8.2_changed_files.zip

You can use this package to upgrade all versions since 2.8.1 to the latest WB-Version. Simply follow the instructions from the beginning of this thread:

http://www.websitebaker2.org/forum/index.php/topic,21997.msg148129.html#msg148129

Have fun
Matthias

P.S. @Mips
you can also use it to upgrade from 2.8.2(SP0) to 2.8.2SP2. Unzip the package, upload all files to your webspace and run the upgrade-script.

GELÖST: DOCH falsche PHP-Version!

Hallo Matthias,

"Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_NEW in /homepages/XXXXXXX/htdocs/wb/framework/initialize.php on line 22"

TNX again,
