Hi,
I just successlessly tried to get an answer in the german forum, maybe here somebody knows an answer.
There's a website with an internal page and some 50 or 100 people use to log in to that page.
Many of them told me that it is not possible to get success with the remember-me-feature in the login script: it doesn't work.
Also the webbrowser's "save password" feature doesn't work for them.
A friend of mine told me that the SMART_LOGIN of websitebaker prevents the option to save the password in the webbrowser. He recommended me to shut off the SMART_LOGIN and said afterwards it should be possible to save the login/password in the webbrowser.
So I did but it also failed. The users reported that the problem still continues. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't - even in the same webbrowser.
I can't figure out the base of the problem...Any help for me out there?

regards
mux

Sorry, maybe i missed this thread in the german forum.

On possible source of problems is that some browsers are set to delete cookies at the end of the browser session. If this happens the the cookie that is used to re-identifys the person is lost too.

Another Source of trouble whith Login is that the 2.8.1 Version made some problems whith accounts containing special chars in the username ,  2.8.2 does not allow these characters that cause trouble in the username anymore.

About the other stuff, i never had those problems but i give a notice to the devs about this thread.

Btw. the remember me function is a really BIG security risk, so maybe it should be removed, as all modern browsers have the option to store passwords .

It is easier to change the specification to fit the program than vice versa.
