I wrote in the German part but I think here are more englisch speaking people so here is my question

Situation:
Website on webspace, made a local backup by ftp copieing all data from webspace to my hdd.

Then i worked on the site, deleted pages and edited them.

Then i wanted back to my backup and I think here comes the big mistake.

Deleted all the files from the webspace and loaded the files from my hdd up.

In Websitebaker and on the web i can still only see the edited version, not the old version I wanted.

Can someone please help my, where I made the mistake. Thank you.

WB is a database driven CMS.
This means all your pagedata is stored in a database, not in the files you copied.

If you have a backup of your database try to restore that one too (together with the correct /pages files)
If you do not have a backup, maybe your host will have one they can restore.

Okay thank you.

And another question. I have there another site layout.

so root\other website\all the files needed for the website

I could watch them over the browser by www.domainname.com\other website\

Now I want this other website to be the main website you with "www.domainname.com"

So for that i have to copy the files in the root and have to change the config.php right?

And is there a way to get the files in the tree on the webspace into the database?

There are two things you should not do in a (any) forum.

1 > Double Post your question beacuse you could not get an answer in 5 minutes.

2 > Asking questions without searching the forum first.
