I've been out of the business for a LONG time and just getting back in. Totally excited about all the development going on at WB. First thing I did with an old client was upgrade his WB 2.6.7 to 2.8.1. Great documentation, upgrade went flawlessly. Then I cruised all the great droplets and modules and made some new implementations and a whole new design template. Here's the result:

Would love your feedback, WB community!

Personally I do not like the outer glow around the logo but I guess other will...

What is the idea behind the strange curved leftside of the menu items?

Also the leftsite of the header image seems too jagged

Other than that, the design looks good.

Thanks for the feedback, even if it's very lukewarm.

Of course, like art, web design is a bit subjective, I like the outerglow effect and see if used effectively quite often. It is a simple way to make standard text grab more attention and look alot more like a logo, than just simply a title.

The client is a surfer/writer/poet. He likes the design as well (in the end that's all that really matters). The left hand menu is shaped like a wave to evoke the surfing theme.

I'll have to look into the jaggedness issue.
