Hi all,

Im failling to use the News modul and would really need some help.

My setup:
  • A fresh, clean installation of WB 2.8.1
  • Default template
  • Some pages with content which are working fine.

Now I tried this
  • Add a new page and choose "News v3.5" as page type.
  • Add some posts to the list
  • Did not modify any setting/option

After saving  and goto preview the page, it is completely empty.
Not any post is showing up.  I have checked my logs and also no hint of an error or missing permission.

Can anyone pls. help me out?

Thanks,
Niels

Appears the news page in the folder /posts/ on your server ?
What permission has this news page in folder /posts/ ?

I have the effect that the news modul creates the news page with permission 666 and don't appear. When I change the permission to 640 it works.

Hello,

that's weird. It really seems to be an issues with the permissions.
In my case the /POSTS/ folder needs 0740 in order to allow the post files beeing created. Unless this is set, my system stores the posts in DB but does not create the post files under /POSTS/.

The post files themselves need anything like 0640 or 0666 (doesen't matter).
