Hello!

Maybe this was already asked or it's a stupid question, but anyways!

I'm looking for the simple module that is capable to show me one article in more than one page.
So it would't look like a long list and you'll have to klick NEXT or 1,2,3,4,5,... etc.

So I would be able to maybe set my own hight for the article and then the article would spread on multiple pages on its own.

I have tried news module but not what I need!

Is there module like this or...?

something like this http://www.websitebaker2.org/en/help/help-project.php but only for normal text maybe with wysiwyg. How do I do that?

witch module is used for this

Hope you understand my question.

Thank you wery much!

If you mean WYSIWYG page with "article", then you could use ShowSection droplets: http://www.websitebakers.com/pages/droplets/official-library/content/showsection.php or the Section Picker module: http://www.websitebakers.com/pages/modules/listings/section-pages/section-picker.php

If you mean news item with "article" then you could use AnyNews for example.

I guess there are more ways of doing what you want, but these ones spring to mind right now.

Hi

Not really what I need.

I need a module who would make those pages by it self so my client would only paste a lot of text in the wysiwyg area and save. The (go to next or 1,2,3,4,...) would be made by it self so it wouldn't look like a long list of text. So the hight of the page is made from some settings area or something.

Thanx

Oh... you mean you need a module that splits a text into multiple pages after a certain number of characters? I think splitting after a certain height is not possible, as WB doesn't know where the cut must be.

Maybe the Topics module is what you need?

I have tried the Topics module but it's to complicated. And not working as expected.

Any other idea how could this be done if it is even possible.

I'm just asking if it is somehow posible to create this in some easy way so I could then explain it to my client who doesen't understands nothing about WB.

Maybe to create more sections, split text to more than one of them and then use some droplet (JumpToChild) or...?

I just need the easiest way to explain it to my client

Thank you

That would be rather complex for the typical client I think. You'll probably best off with some kind of dynamic jquery pagination script, that splits contetn based on number of characters. There is no such thing currently for WB.

That will be a problem too..

What you see on screen is obviously not what is used in the html data.
If a html tag is cut in half you would get unwanted results.

On (most) sites where you see data displayed in multiple artikles/pages, it will be done by the human editor.
Using next/previous type of droplets this could be done to with normal WYSIWYG pages.

Hm... you're right. It would be best if you could just put droplets into a WYSIWYG like [[SplitContent]] or something, and then the pagination would appear on the frontend automatically.

Splitting an article across multiple WYSIWYG pages is rather cumbersome and not user friendly enough I think.

You want something like this...

http://articles.sitepoint.com/article/mod_rewrite-no-endless-loops

Instead of this...

http://articles.sitepoint.com/article/seo-ppc-strategy

Not sure how to achieve that without creating separate pages, or sections. Maybe a module could split a page into single section pages?

It looks like Sitepoint are now using the single page technique as their default?
