Yes I know, but I did that so I can track the news numbers Smiley and also to keep the news items separated from regular pages, as they can both be in same folder (for nicer linkls: /football/news-title-123.php - I wrote about this in some threat before)

But I am discussing about removing access .php pages, so I can get mentioned benefits Smiley

cheers,
Ivan

Hi,

I am testing your module and it looks good!

My question: How can I show the archived news in the frontend? In the custom options, I activated the archive and in the test post I set the end-date to yesterday. Nothing to see in the frontend.

Would be nice, if you tell me and other interested people the steps to show the archived postings.

Thanks a lot!

Kerstin

Archiving should, at this moment, only be used with droplets.
The idea was:
filter all contentitems where published dates are done and archive is set
or show all items where archive is set and publishdates are greater then 60 days
or ...

There is no current use for them in the module

One of my original ideas was to auto-delete not archive items after publishdates are over, but didn't implement that yet.
The contents module still is in development Wink

Hi,

any news about the contents module? Is it going to show up on AMASP anytime soon? (or is it already there and I overlooked it?)

Cheers, Ralf.

no Ralf, you don't overlooked it.. wink
we moved it a little bit to the future, so it will be one of the first 100% compatible modules for 2.9.x
(we're lazy... and don't want to recode it short after publishing.) wink
Also the new module at same time should be an example of future modules coding style.

@DarkViper, I think Ralph ment my contents module...

@Ralph and interested others:
Is not overlooked there.
The contenst module seems to work fine.

What needs to be done:
- styling, the default installed template is for testing at the moment, I don't have the time yet to make a good start purpose yet
- create examples on my website for it to show what it can do

What I like to add and working on is a way to create frontend editing, for this to be elegant I need a way to set permissions like:
user can create and edit delete only his/her items
groupuser who can do it for a group of users
a way to set less-items-menu in fck/cke etc..
something like this..

But the module should work right out of the box and be mature enough. I have not heared (not enough testers I think) of bugs.
