Module to easily create a page of links to your friends with text?

If you need à lot of links there is THE glossary module,

if it is just à small list i would just use à normal

If you need to display more info than just à word with à link you might try out toggleme or à newsmodule

If links need to be sorted in groups it can be made from the members module very easy
